The RPM Fund presents annual sportsmanship awards to aspiring Olympic athletes in the sport of skeleton, in memory of Randy Price. Skeleton is a sliding sport in which athletes pilot open sleds head-first down a mile-long icy track, often reaching speeds of 80 mph.

In 2009 the RPM Fund announced a new program, the RPM Luggage Lottery. The lottery provides one male and one female athlete reimbursement of excess baggage fees incurred in transporting their sleds. All sliders participating in team trials who do not make the World Cup team are eligible and are chosen at the same time that RPM Award winners are announced each year. about the rpm fund
The Randy Price Memorial Fund ("RPM Fund") was established in 2004 as a 501c3 tax exempt organization by the Price Family to recognize Randy's involvement with the skeleton community and to provide a means of helping other aspiring skeleton athletes achieve their dreams.

Randy Price took up skeleton sliding in 1999, 3 years after being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of thyroid cancer. For the next 3 years, he trained and competed on tracks in Lake Placid, Calgary, Park City, and Lillehammer.

In recognition of the way he lived his life, Randy Price Memorial Awards are presented annually to skeleton athletes who best exemplify Randy's sportsmanship, commitment to excellence, regardless of circumstance, persistence, and improvement. Recipients receive a financial award to help with training expenses and are commemorated on a plaque that hangs in the Olympic Training Center.

We are proud to say that our median donation is $50. Through many small gifts we have been able to make a difference in the lives of skeleton athletes and remember Randy’s life.
